Axl Rose Sues Guitar Hero Makers for $20m

Axl Rose is suing the makers of Guitar Hero claiming that they "spun a web of lies and deception" after featuring a cartoon of ex Guns 'N Roses guitarist, Slash on the game.

Rose allowed Activision to use the song 'Welcome to the Jungle' on the condition that any mention of Slash or his band, Velvet Revolver would be omitted.

When the game was released in 2007, it featured a character who looked very similar to Slash complete with his trademark long hair, tall hat and nose piercing. There were also three Velvet Revolver songs available for download as add ons.

Rose's lawyer said, "This law suit is about protecting Guns 'N Roses and 'Welcome to the Jungle', and is about holding Activision accountable for it's misuse of these incredibly valuable assets."
